Resources/Skills:

Our clients' numbers vary as our clients (come from public schools) are put into the program by local police and school resource officers in an attempt to turn around the negative behaviors of clients before going before the judge for adjudication. As you can see our population is very diverse and so the need to acquire resources from our community partners to help CVERP introduce the necessary skills we believe our clients would benefit from especially  community skills that can be instrumental for positive interaction within their communities.

Positive Behaviors/Effective Reduction to Recidivism:

Several topics we feel is essential for our clients to become positive citizens and role models begins with informing our clients the importance of effective knowledge regarding  state and community resources.Resources pertaining to various topics that relate to the process of the court system, types of crimes committed, Statues of Virginia, juvenile court systems, and the adult court systems. Life skills are essential, due to the fact that many of our clients cannot read well, but when you tailored knowledge to a particular audience and it becomes effective, the results are usually positive. Last year, we can say that of the 20 of more clients that was enrolled in the program, there were no returnees this year, so the reduction to recidivism is great, this tells us that the behaviors of our clients must be changing.
