CVERP has partnered with the City of Richmond Division of Juvenile Community Programs - Youth Justice to provide a second chance opportunity to Richmond teens who exhibit disruptive and violent behavior in schools. The program uses positive peer interaction to help peers learn accountability and receive support to avoid further involvement in the criminal justice system. Rather than entering the criminal justice system and possibly serving time in prison, participants are offered resources, training, and development to help them to become productive students and citizens. Certificates of completion and rewards for personal development are given as incentives to participate. Weekly Wednesday sessions.
CVERP has partnered with the Richmond Juvenile Detention Center for the implementation of modified lessons from the Leading Our Ladies (LOL) and Leading Our Men (LOM) curricula. As part of this initiative, participants will receive resources for acquiring knowledge and skills that will enable them to become productive students and citizens. After completing each module, participants receive a certificate of completion.
Our sessions convene every other Tuesday and Friday afternoons.
