The Leading Our Ladies Training and Development Program(LOL) is a six-week leadership experience for teen girls ages 15-18 who want to grow socially and personally.

Program Fee
There is NO cost to participate in Leading Our Ladies. The selected participants will be provided with registration materials, project supplies, and meals during the sessions. Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from program sessions.
Benefit to Participants
Leading Our Ladies will not only improve the confidence and self-esteem of participants but will facilitate new friendships among young women who share a desire for self-improvement and self-sufficiency. For the full benefit of the program, selected participants would need to commit to up to six hours, every other Saturday for six weeks.
Certificate
A certificate of completion and up to $200 for personal development will be awarded to graduates of Leading Our Ladies.

Girls ages 15-18 are eligible to apply. Leading Our Ladies is designed to meet the needs of girls at all stages of their life. There are only 15 seats available.

There are a total of six sessions. Session times alternate every other Saturday. Each session begins at 10am and will end at either 2pm or 4pm (depending on the week's assignment).

There is no cost to participate in LOL. Registration costs, program materials, and meals are included on program days for selected candidates. Participants are responsible for securing their own transportation.
The purpose of the recommendation form is for us to gain information to learn more about the candidate from someone who knows them well. It also helps our team assess the candidate's individual needs, character, or unique abilities. A recommendation form is required in the application process.
Each participant who completes all six modules will receive a certificate of completion and a personal development stipend.
No, each participant is responsible for getting to and from the sessions and the graduation ceremony.
Trudi Batiste has a wealth of administrative and leadership experience with nonprofit organizations that advocate for underrepresented youth and communities of color.
As part of her commitment to community outreach and mentorship, Batiste founded Girl Talk RVA and Leading Our Ladies Training & Development Program which provide life skills training and safe conversation spaces for young adult women.
Erika Brandon is passionate about education and giving back to underrepresented youth and communities. In 2013, Brandon and her husband, Curtis, founded Central Virginia Educational Resource Programs (CVERP) to provide educational resources to underserved communities in Richmond and surrounding areas.
Currently, Brandon serves as the business manager for the Commonwealth of Virginia Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services, where she is responsible for budgeting, procurement, finance, personnel, and customer service. Additionally, Brandon serves as the Chief Operations Officer for (CVERP) and her responsibilities consist of creating and managing the organization's daily operations.
Some of our participants face poor living conditions and negative influences, creating barriers that prevent them from achieving their dreams. In order to assist with social interaction, personal growth and overall success.
Leading Our Ladies provides leadership and life skills seminars, entrepreneurial workshops, and personal development certificate programs. to help with social interaction, personal growth, and overall successful outcomes.
Additionally, Leading Our Ladies promotes healthy relationships among families and communities while providing opportunities for young women to improve their socioeconomic status.
Leading Our Ladies is led by a team of certified and licensed personnel with over 25 years of educational, non-profit, and community-based experience. We are committed to providing high-quality programming to empower and equip young women to reach their potential.
Our mission is to create a safe and supportive environment where young women can explore their identities and learn how to advocate for themselves. Our goal is to inspire and encourage young women to become confident and successful leaders in their communities.
